Laura and Max's Wedding

I'm sharing a non-food-related subject with you today. Along with my passion for food is a passion for design. Part of that design-life includes creating beautiful invitations and other wedding-related items for Brides and Grooms to be and nothing makes me happier then helping others be happy on their wedding day.

I was approached by Laura after her mother showed her the invitations I did for Dustin and Lauren. You can imagine my surprise when this girl from Wisconsin loved what I did so much that she wanted to work with someone so far away on something so personal.

Dustin and Lauren's Invitations

My most recent invitation adventure took me back to metallic paper. I love it...and not just because it's shiny. Metallic paper has such an elegant style and look that it's difficult to not feel fancy when holding it in your hand.

Katie & Ryan's Invitations

I designed and assembled these invitation for my friends' upcoming wedding. They will be having an amazing wedding (which I'm thrilled to be part of as a bridesmaid!) and these invitations served as the first glimpse of the big day. The main colors of the wedding are champagne, wine, and forest green (to match the Groom's uniform). It's going to be a formal affair so the invitations needed to reflect the look and attitude so the guests know what to expect.

I loved designing these custom, handmade wedding invitations and accessories (which will be posted soon). Creating invitations is one of my biggest passions because it's something that is so personal in so many ways. Having the opportunity to be involved in something for such a special day is amazing and I'm grateful for that every time I get one of these projects.

Metallic, Purple and Formal

My life revolves around so many different things these days - work, my son, my husband, and of course, my passion for cooking that you already know of. My intentions with this blog were to not only share my interests in cooking, but to also share my other passions. I created this blog to express, share, and strengthen all of my loves in life. One of the things I love to do is create and design wedding invitations. This is one of those areas where a hobby crosses over into my work life. Projects like this are why I love my job!
